Ever wonder on how will you have a good site when you want to build something and you also want to come up with a good design? Well, here are some thoughts that I could share. In designing and planning, we really need to consider site context because it gives a big role in a building that is to be built. Before building a structure you must study and know well first the pros and cons of your site selection and orientation because it will help you to easily get the informations as well as it will be easy to put up a sustainable design on it.
In site context, you will be considering and analyzing the noise coming from different views or places, the circulation, if there's a slope with the soil (terrain) or if it's totally flat, if there's a traffic jam around the site, if there's a convenient access to different ways including pedestrians and many more. Those things are needed to consider for your site to call it a good one.
Not only those but you will also be considering the people who will use the proposed structure. You must have a demographic analysis. According to Census, it is a technique used to develop an understanding of an age, sex, and racial composition of a population. If you have this as well as the user profile, it'll help a lot for you to understand and determine more the users on what they are up to because they are the ones who will use the structure.
